Our Remounting Process

Below is a step‑by‑step look at how Apex handles each remount from start to finish.

1. Initial Consultation & Module Evaluation

We inspect your existing module to assess structural integrity and remount eligibility.
Review your needs, upgrades, paint schemes, and chassis preferences.
Provide a detailed quote with options.

2. Module Removal & Preparation

The existing module is separated from the old chassis.
Wiring, plumbing, mounts, and connections are safely disconnected.
The module is placed on a dedicated remount stand for full access.

3. Chassis Preparation

Customer‑supplied or new chassis is inspected and prepped.
Installation of mounts, electrical harnessing, fuel lines, HVAC interfaces, and safety hardware.
Any custom chassis modifications are completed.

4. Module Refurbishment

Structural repairs (if needed).
Full electrical inspection and updates.
HVAC inspection or replacement.
Replace or upgrade interior lighting, flooring, cabinetry, and seating as requested.
Exterior bodywork, paint, decals, and warning light upgrades.

5. Re‑Mounting the Module

The refurbished module is securely mounted to the new chassis.
All systems are reconnected: electrical, oxygen, HVAC, emergency lighting, sirens, and more.
Alignment and fitment checks ensure proper placement.

6. Systems Testing & Certification

Apex performs a multi‑point inspection and full operational test of all emergency systems.
Electrical load tests and safety checks are performed.
Vehicle is verified to meet KKK‑A‑1822F, NFPA 1917, and state compliance requirements.

7. Detailing & Delivery

Final cleaning, polishing, and interior sanitization.
Graphics and striping installed.
The unit is delivered ready for service with documentation and warranty information.
